In this digital age, marketing has evolved and grown beyond the just promoting a business or selling a product through advertising.
Lakeland University has responded to the metamorphosis of marketing, restructuring the program and offering four new emphases:
Scott Niederjohn, Dean of Lakeland's School of Business & Entrepreneurship, said these emphases have been added after extensive consultation with Lakeland's corporate partners.
These emphases, Niederjohn said, allow students to learn all of the traditional marketing skills needed to enter the industry, while at the same time being able to specialize.
Students who major in Marketing will be able to:

Upon completion of the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree through the Lakeland University evening, weekend and online program, degree-earning students will have:
The Lakeland University evening, weekend and online program's liberal arts component enables students to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to communicate clearly, inquire methodically, evaluate rationally and reason validly. These skills are developed through courses in:
Courses selected to meet this requirement may not be used to meet requirements of another business major or minor. Courses selected from divisions other than the Business Administration Division may be used to satisfy this requirement-contact the chair of the Business Administration Division or the Registrar for approval.
