At Lakeland, Our Graduates Are the Story

After graduating from Lakeland with a degree in Criminal Justice, I joined the United States Army and enlisted in the Military Police Corps. I was stationed at Fort Drum, NY in 2007. In 2008 I deployed with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. We spent 12 months in the Logar Province of Afghanistan teaching the Afghan National Police skills on how to better protect their citizens, how to perform basic police skills, and many other things that are basic in the United States. The year away from my wife Stacey and son Carson was a real toll, but with the support of them and the rest of my family and friends, it helped me get through the very long and tough year!
