Mayo received the honor after recording double-doubles in all three of her games last week, as the Muskies won three games over four days. She receives the honor for the first time in her career and is the second Lakeland player to receive the award this year, joining teammate Leah Eisner (Jr.-Stevens Point, Wis.) as recipients this season.

Mayo averaged 17.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.7 blocked shots and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 53.5% from the field last week over three games. She had 12 points and 11 rebounds in a 92-61 win over Finlandia (Mich.) University on Wednesday, 17 points and 12 rebounds in a 63-56 victory over Alma (Mich.) College on Thursday, and then added 23 points and 11 rebounds in the Muskies' 74-50 win over Dominican (Ill.) University on Saturday.

For the season Mayo is leading the NAC in rebounding, averaging 9.1 boards per game. She also is eighth in the conference in scoring (12.3 ppg), fourth in blocked shots (1.3 per game), fifth in free throw percentage (79.6%) and eighth in field goal percentage (44.7%). She has six double-doubles this season, including a high of 23 points against Dominican and 15 rebounds on Dec. 8 at Marian (Wis.) University.

Mayo and the Muskies return to the court Tuesday night to face Edgewood College in an NAC game at 7 p.m. at Woltzen Gymnasium.
