About Exercise Science and Sport Studies

Students choosing to be a part of the Exercise Science and Sports Studies Major will have opportunities in a wide range of movement-related fields. Based on emphasis in two different areas (Exercise Science or Sport Studies), this major gives options diverse in areas of exercise science, sport management, and coaching. The Exercise Science empahsis may lead to opportunities in the fields of rehabilitation, such as physical therapy and occupational therapy, chiropractic, fitness clubs, personal training, strength and conditioning, coaching, and other wellness professions. The sport studies emphasis gives way to careers in coaching and management aspects of sports. Minors in business or sport management would be beneficial for students choosing this major.
