Big Fish Festival

Help us celebrate Lakeland College like never before during our inaugural Big Fish Festival, held during Homecoming September 26, 2015. Among the many attractions will be family-friendly activities, games and activities; an international food tasting event hosted by our Global Student Association; live music; a beer garden; and much more. Calling all past LC Band members! This year, we are forming an Alumni Pep Band to help celebrate the Muskies' Homecoming victory. Game day festivities will start at noon, with a performance at the Big Fish Festival luncheon, followed by another during the afternoon game. Join alumni from years past as we form the largest pep band Taylor Field has ever seen! Dust off those instruments and come prepared for lots of fun and memories. There is no cost to be a member of the Alumni Pep Band - just bring yourself, your Muskie spirit and your instrument; it promises to be a lot of fun. 5K Fish Out of Water Trail Run, Lobby, Wehr Center

Start your Homecoming Saturday with a refreshing autumn run on our beautiful cross country course - most of which is in the woods, covered by a canopy of colorful leaves. Registration begins at 9 a.m. for the 10 a.m. start. Membership in the esteemed Emeritus Club is limited to alumni with a Mission House or Lakeland College graduation date of at least half-a-century ago. Each year, the newest members of this respected club are inducted during Homecoming and recognized for their long-standing relationship with their alma mater. All 2015 honorees and their families are invited to attend a special pre-awards ceremony reception at the President's House. The reception will include special reunion guests from the class of 1965 and Emeritus Club, faculty from the "Back in the Day" reception, the class of 1975, all former Koehler Award winners who are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the award, members of Psi Alpha Kappa fraternity and the Council of Alumni Ambassadors. Cantus Performances and Reception, Bradley Theater

World-renowned Cantus, the nine-member men's vocal ensemble, is known for its engaging performances of music ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st Century. Minnesota-based Cantus performs more than 60 concerts each year around the nation and world. Integral to the Cantus mission is its commitment to preserve and deepen music education in the schools. Cantus works with more than 5,000 students each year in master class and workshop settings across the country.
