The Lakeland women's basketball team extended their winning streak to five straight with a 64-60 victory over Juniata College, Pa., in the South Padre Island Shootout The Muskies took a 32-23 lead into the half and never looked back as they led by as many as 14.
Senior Kristi Thill led the Muskies, who shot 47% for the game, by recording a team high 27 points and eight rebounds. Senior Beth Porter added 11 points, while junior Danielle Duranceau scored 10 coming off the bench.
The Muskies held Juniata College to 30% shooting in the first half and to 39% for the game.
Lakeland will play one more game in the South Padre Island Shootout tomorrow afternoon before traveling to Dominican for an LMC match-up on Jan. 4.
