Kristi Thill Named Honorable Mention Player of the Month by Women’s D-III News

Sheboygan, Wis. - Lakeland College senior Kristi Thill (Garden, Mich./Big Bay de Noc) was named to the Honorable Mention list in Women's D-III News, a national monthly newsletter for women's Division III basketball, for the month of January.
Thill averaged 13.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game during the month. The senior also scored in double figures in five of Lakeland's seven games, while notching a career-high 29 points at Concordia, Wis., on January 14. The Garden, Mich., native also became the eighth player in Lakeland women's basketball history to score 1,000 points when she sank two free throws with 26 seconds remaining on January 18 against Marian.
The women's basketball team went 6-3 in the month of January and is currently sitting on a half-game lead in the Lake Michigan Conference race over second-place Concordia. The Muskies will next be in action Wednesday when they host the Edgewood College Eagles, who are just a game out of first place, at 7:00 p.m.
