Jeanna Boehm, a sophomore forward, has been named Lake Michigan Conference women's basketball Player of the Week.
The Green Bay native helped the Muskies win the final LMC regular season title on Feb. 14 at Maranatha Baptist with a 66-40 victory. She also helped Lakeland advance to the LMC tournament finals with wins over Maranatha in the quarterfinals and Marian in the semifinals. The Muskies defeated the Crusaders, 53-28, and Marian, 53-38.
In the first game against Maranatha last week, Boehm scored 16 points. In the quarterfinal round, the sophomore forward scored 22 points on 10-15 shooting, while grabbing eight rebounds. In the semifinals, Boehm led Lakeland with 20 points and four rebounds. The Green Bay native averaged 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and one assist per game while shooting 65.9 percent from the field on the week.
