Athletics - posted on 10/16/2004
The Muskies traveled to Concordia University for today's Private College Championships. Four runners competed for the Muskies, three of which set season or personal bests.
On the Men's side Matt Forss set his personal best time of 30:49.3, which was good enough to garner 58th place.
For the women, Penny Arentesn led the way with a time of 22:51.3,(season best) good for 54th place. Kristen Beyer finished right behind Penny, with a time of 22:52.9 getting 55th place. Angie Guell came in with a 96th place, finishing with a time of 25:52.4.
"This past week we have been struggling as
a team with several nagging injuries" said Coach Helgeson, "so I wasn't expecting much out of
anyone. I was hoping to simply get the
miles in and to my surprise almost everyone either had a season or personal
best. This was a great race for them to
give everything they had before going into Fall Break."
