Muskies Open Marian Triangular With Win over Concordia

Fond du Lac, WI—The Lakeland Muskies opened up their first game of the Marian triangular today with a win over conference rival, Concordia Mequon, winning three matches to none. 

In game one, the Muskies amassed a 14 point lead at one point, only to give up that lead to the Falcons of Concordia. The Muskies did not give up, and would take the first match 32-30. The Muskies chemistry would come alive after that close call, and the Muskies turned on the defense, winning the next two matches 30-17, 30-17. 

“Some chemistry developed again today that I hope we can carry into next week” said Coach Schreiber. “we were steady and played with great control.” 

With the win, the Muskies move to 4-4, and stay atop the Lake Michigan Conference. The Muskies will take on Marian in their second game of the Marian College Triangular. Game time is . 

Leaders for the Muskies effort against Concordia were Lana Neuman who added 45 assists, seven digs and three blocks. Sarah Buechel also added 20 digs.
