A day after losing to Western Connecticut, the Lakeland women’s basketball team stormed back in the second round of the San Diego Surf ‘N Slam Tournament to defeat Connecticut College, 55-43.
Sara Langenhorst scored a game-high 14 points and also grabbed seven rebounds, while Renee Steinert added 12 points and recorded a team-high eight boards. Beth Porter came off the bench to also add 12 points.
Casey Thran and Kate Kenly both scored 14 points for Connecticut College.
The Muskies advance in the tournament to the fourth place game, where they will face Bridgewater. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. Central start.
