Muskies Defeat Chapman University in Four

The Muskie women's volleyball team got off to a slow start in the La Verne Tournament, but rebounded quickly to dominate Chapman University, 3-1, in the opening round on Friday, October 22.

Heather Heberlein led the Muskies with 20 kills�on .528 hitting. Resi Ertler added 18 kills and 13 digs. Sarah Buechel and Amy Lieske both tallied 20 digs for Lakeland, while Lana Neuman had 59 assists in the four game match.

The Muskies move on in the tournament to face Occidental in the second round.
