Lakeland Defeats Mt. Mary in Women's Soccer

The Lakeland College Women's soccer team convincingly defeated the Mt. Mary College by a score of 12-0 at Lakeland College field.
Senior forward Amanda Smith (Neenah) lead the way with 5 goals. Smith's running mate Ann Lehecka (McHenry, IL) added 2 goals and 2 assists.
Freshmen Kelly Hopfinger and Laura Engel chipped in a goal apiece, their first collegiate goals. Allyce Maus, Lorine Weiss, and Marie Reynolds each added goals. Briana Plautz anchored the back line for the Muskies while contributing an assist. Sophomore midfielder Tracy Bins controlled the midfield and assisted Smith on her fifth goal of the game.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alli Weiss (New Berlin) went the distance and recorded her first shutout of the season.
The win puts the Muskies at 2-2 on the young season. The Muskies will be in action at 1 pm this Saturday September 11th as they take on the Stars of Dominican University. The women travel to play Carroll College at Mukwonago High School on Sunday September 12th at 2 pm.
