KC Blahnik has been named the Northern Athletics Conference women's basketball Student Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 25-Jan. 31.
Blahnik averaged 21.5 points and 11 rebounds as the Muskies
finished the week with wins over Rockford and Wisconsin Lutheran.
Against Rockford, she scored 19 points on 8-14 shooting from the field while grabbing nine rebounds. In Saturday's 59-58 overtime victory at Wisconsin Lutheran, she put up 24 points and 13 rebounds, both game highs.
The team leader in points and rebounds, she ranks fourth in the conference with 15.5 points per game and places seventh with 8.9 boards per game. Her 50 steals this season are good for fourth most in the conference.
Blahnik recently became the eighth player in program history to surpass the 1,000 career points mark against MSOE on Jan. 23. She currently sits at 1,050 points.
This is Blahnik's second NAC Student Athlete of the Week award this season.
