Wednesday, Lakeland faces Marian in a Northern Athletics Conference North Division showdown at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.
The Muskies (5-9, 2-6 NAC) are coming off a 55-41 setback against Edgewood College last Thursday. In the loss, sophomore Rachel Diedrich seemed to hit her stride as she scored 11 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had four blocked shots.
Last season, the Muskies swept the season series with the Sabres. Lakeland won in Fond du Lac, 65-47, and then won at home, 68-44. Returnee Mary Dennewitz had a big series, scoring 21 points in the two games. In the second game, returnee Erin Cepa added nine points to aid in the victory.
