The Lakeland College men's golf team has been picked to finish fifth in the Northern Athletics Conference coaches' poll, the league announced Thursday.
The Muskies finished tied for third in the NAC Tournament last fall, but dropped to fifth place in the league's spring tournament last April.
The Milwaukee School of Engineering was the slim favorite with five first-place votes and 93 overall points. Defending NAC champion Edgewood College grabbed the No. 2 spot with four first-place votes and 92 overall points.
Lakeland earned 50 points and begin action on Sept. 6 at the Loras Invitational. The NAC Tournament is slated for Oct. 9-10 at Whistling Straights in Kohler, Wis.
