The Lakeland College men's golf team had two teams compete in the Elmhurst Bluejay Classic on Monday.
The Muskies "A" team finished fifth with a total of 346, 30 strokes behind first place Carthage College. The "B" team finished with a total of 360.
Senior Ben Laubusch (Germantown, Wis.) led all Lakeland golfers with a 78 (+6) finishing tied for second, one shot behind winner Josh Kopka of Carthage College (77, +5).
Freshman Ryan Newberry (Campbellsport, Wis.) finished in a tie for 18th with an 85, while freshman Andy Schneider (Franklin, Wis.) led Lakeland-B with an 86, placing 23rd.

Lakeland returns to the course on Sunday and Monday, April 22-23, as the Muskies travel to Aurora, Ill. to take part in the third and fourth rounds of the Northern Athletics Conference Men's Golf Championship at the Stonebridge Country Club. The Muskies enter the round in sixth place, 50 strokes behind Edgewood College.
