Muskies to face Kalamazoo in MIAA-NAC Challenge

After an early season week off the Lakeland College football team is looking for a non-conference win Saturday afternoon when it hosts Kalamazoo (Mich.) College at 1 p.m. at Taylor Field.

The Muskies come in with a 0-1 record after a 24-17 loss to Carroll (Wis.) University in the opener. Kalamazoo enters with a 2-0 mark with a pair of narrow wins. Most recently the Hornets defeated Manchester (Ind.) College 18-16 in four overtimes last weekend in a game that was tied 7-7 at the end of regulation.

Lakeland College welcomes all residents of Plymouth for Plymouth Day at the game, the first of three Community Days at Lakeland football games this year. The game is also part of the first-ever Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and Northern Athletics Conference "Challenge Series" that pits member schools from the two NCAA Division III conferences against each other this weekend.
