Scott Kress of Kiel continued his dominance, coming off of a school record 4 goal game on Tuesday to score two more against the Maryville Saints at the Augustana College soccer tournament this weekend. The Muskies would go on to win by a score of 3-2.
Maryville struck first, putting a goal past Joe Silverberg early to go up 1-0. The Saints would strike again at the 20 minute mark, to go up 2-0. The Muskie offense came alive before halftime, when in the 33rd minute, when Junior Ryan Holl of Plymouth, IN scored to put the Muskies on the board 2-1. The next minute, Kress scored off an assist from Mike Gorack (Algonquin, IL) to tie the game at 2-2. That would be the score heading into halftime.

In the second half, it would be all Muskies, out-shooting Maryville 19-5. It was Kress again who scored the game winner, sneaking it past Saints goalkeeper Daniel Clark in the 65th minute. That goal would seal the deal, as the Muskie defense would hold on to defeat the Saints by a final score of 3-2.
Leading the way for the Muskies was Joe Silverberg with 3 saves. Sam Schroeder of Big Lake, MN and Scott Kress of Kiel both added 10 shots with 11 of those on goal. With the win the Muskies go to 2-0 on the season. They will face off against Augustana College tomorrow at 6pm.
