Lakeland College Spring Training Baseball Camp 2013

Baseball Camp 2013

Lakeland College's Baseball Camp

The Lakeland coaching staff is excited to be hosting the 2013 Spring Training Camps. In a fun and educational manner, we will teach your athlete the skills necessary to compete in baseball. The camp philosophy is to provide solid fundamental baseball skills in a relaxed atmosphere. We will cover all phases of the game, regardless of skill level, and allow the necessary repetition time to see improvement in every skill. To prepare the camper for competition, we will focus on hitting and other offensive skills, as well as pitching.

Pitching/Catching Session 9 a.m. - Noon

This camp is to provide campers with mechanics, throwing off a mound and arm care.

Hitting Session 1 - 4 p.m.

This camp is designed for campers to work on their technique, drills and approach to hitting.

What to Expect from our Camp

Campers are able to choose sessions in pitching/catching or hitting instruction led by the Lakeland College coaching staff. Campers will be challenged in an environment that will help them develop their abilities and confidence as players. In addition, each camper will receive a t-shirt.

Location/Equipment

The camp will be held in the Wehr Center on the Lakeland College campus in Sheboygan. Each camper is responsible for bringing indoor shoes, baseball bat and glove.

Insurance

Each camper must have their own medical insurance. The Lakeland College Baseball Spring Training Camps will not be responsible for any medical or dental insurance. A medical release statement must be signed by a parent or guardian before a camper is allowed to participate in the Lakeland College Baseball Camp. Each camper's health and protection will be our first and foremost concern. However, as with all sports, there are dangers inherent in participating. There will also be an athletic trainer present while the camp is in session.

Michael Bachar - CAMP DIRECTOR

"I was very happy at the turnout that we had in 2012. The campers left with smiles on their faces and an abundance of tools that will improve their game. We will be implementing new drills for this camp to ensure return campers are learning something new each year. My coaching staff and current players will work on the fundamentals that we teach at Lakeland. We look forward to working with you and helping you grow as a baseball player."
