Lakeland
Women Move One Win Closer to 20
Feb. 14, 2004
Knowing that they had a size advantage, the Lakeland College Women's Basketball
Team used their advantage to dominate the paint on their way to a 69-40 win
over Maranatha Baptist on Valentine's Day.
Renee Steinert and Jenna Boehm held strong on the inside to score 15 and 13 points, respectively, while Casey Thousand hit three of five three pointers to score 14 and give the Muskies a well-balanced attack.
Defensively, the Muskies limited the Crusaders' chances, recording nine steals and four blocks, while only turning the ball over five times, offensively.
The win moved the Muskies one win away from 20 at 19-5 on the season. They
also moved one win closer to a perfect conference season at 11-0.
