Lakeland Continues Conference Domination
Jan. 17, 2004
Three days after winning her 200th game as head coach, April Arvan would get
number 201. The Lakeland College Women's Basketball Team dominated the second
half of their game against conference foe, Marian College, to win, 68-49.
The Muskies, who actually trailed 28-30 at halftime, took advantage of Marian's frigid second half shooting (23.8 percent) to cruise to victory.
Renee Steinert led all scorers with 23 points and also grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds. Jenna Boehm, Casey Thousand, and Aubri Rote all scored in double-digits as well with 16, 14, and 11 points respectively. Between the four of them, all but four of Lakeland's points were scored.
The Muskies remained unbeaten in conference on the season and improved their
overall record to 11-5.
