Jennifer Robinson teaches a number of courses in Lakeland’s education program, and provides academic advising and related student support for education students based at the Milwaukee Center.

For six years prior to her arrival at Lakeland, Robinson was a language acquisition program teacher for the Kenosha Unified School District. She taught K-8 English language development and monitored students transitioning through the program and those who had exited their program. She was an elementary ESL teacher in Athens, Ohio, for a year while attending graduate school.

Robinson has more than a decade of experience in higher education. She taught as an adjunct faculty member at Lakeland in 2012-13. She spent seven years at Washington State University teaching pre-service and in-service teachers on the graduate and undergraduate level understand how to teach students who are developing English as a second language. She has also taught at the University of Delaware and Ohio University.

She has authored several published works and presentations on students learning English as a second language.

Robinson earned a doctorate in education from Washington State University, a master’s degree in applied linguistics from Ohio University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Washington State University.
