The Great Lakes Writers Festival is held annually at Lakeland College, and is always free and open to the public. The event is hosted by Karl Elder, Lakeland's Fessler Professor of Creative Writing, and provides seasoned and emerging writers the opportunity to talk with peers, to discuss their work, and to learn from the pros in workshops. To register for the festival, email elderk@lakeland.edu.
