Lakeland College board vice chairman William Bathke dies

William T. Bathke, a 1972 Lakeland College graduate and vice chairman of the college's Board of Trustees, died on Friday, June 25.
A Lakeland Trustee since 2001, Bathke chaired the board's Kellett School Committee and was a member of the Trusteeship & Human Capital Committee.
Bathke was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation (WPS), where he worked for nearly three decades. Prior to that, he worked in law enforcement and industrial relations. He was a native of Green Bay and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
A private family service will be held. Memorials in Bill's name are suggested to: Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation, 34700 Valley Rd., Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
