The Lakeland men's basketball team shot 54% in the second half in route to a 51-48 season opening win at Lake Forest Saturday night.
The Muskies trailed 27-20 at the half but made 14 of 26 shots in the second half.
Sophomore Kris Saiberlich led Lakeland with 13 points and freshman Matt Rogers scored 10 points and hit five of six shots in his college debut. Senior Germayne James finished with nine points and six assists and junior Tyrone Coleman had eight points and six rebounds.
Lakeland returns to action Tuesday night in their home opener against Maranatha Baptist. Then the Muskies host a pair of games on thanksgiving weekend against UW-La Crosse on Friday and two-time defending national champion UW-Stevens Point on Saturday.
