Muskies fall to Trinity International

Lakeland shot just 15% in the first half and struggled through a 70-63 loss to Trinity International Wednesday night.
The Muskies, who are now 2-3 overall, made just four of 26 shots in the first half and trailed 33-19.
Lakeland did rally down the stretch, cutting Trinity’s lead to four at 63-59 with 48 seconds to play, but Trinity made seven of eight free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
Freshman Kris Saiberlich led Lakeland with 23 on 6 of 9 shooting including 5 of 7 from three-point land. Junior Nick Howard added 13 points and eight rebounds.
Senior Nick Zeck was in foul trouble all night, and fouled out with 7:00 left in the second half, and only played seven minutes.
Trinity now improves to 4-6 with the win.
Lakeland returns to action at 3:15 in the second game of a LMC doubleheader against Marian College.
