Benedictine Drops Cold Shooting Muskies

The Lakeland women's basketball team suffered a cold shooting night on Thursday as they dropped a Northern Athletics Conference game, 50-29, to Benedictine University.
Lakeland (12-9, 9-6 NAC) shot only 18.2 percent from the floor in the game, and only Jenna Boehm, who finished with 12 points and eight rebounds, made more than one field goal.
The Muskies went 3-for-20 from the three-point line and were out-rebounded by the Eagles, 46-38. Benedictine (15-7, 11-5 NAC) shot just 36 percent from the floor.
Tamika Curtis finished with a game-high 18 points, 18 rebounds, four blocks and four steals for Benedictine.
Lakeland continues conference play on Saturday when they travel to Milwaukee for a 2 p.m. game against Alverno.
