For their first match of the season, Lakeland traveled to New London High School to face the Titans of UW-Oshkosh. The Muskies would fall to UW-Oshkosh by the final score of 46-10.
The Muskies posted a field of ten wrestlers, two of whom competed in exhibition matches. The Muskies Chris Norman defeated Titan wrestler Matt Kohoe by an injury default after Kohoe’s hip was dislocated.
Another Muskie bright spot was Lee Sparks in the #197 weight class, who defeated Pat Detmer of Oshkosh 10-2.
The Muskies will next head to the mat on Thursday December 2nd against UW-Whitewater. Match time is set for 6pm at the Wehr Center.
