The Lakeland women’s basketball team took sixth place out of eight teams at the San Diego Surf ‘N Slam Tournament after losing to Bridgewater State, 60-51, on Thursday.
Sara Langenhorst scored a game-high 20 points, and Renee Steinert scored 16 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds in the losing effort for Lakeland.
Four of Bridgewater’s five starters scored in double digits.
Although they held a 30-28 advantage at halftime, the Muskies only shot 33.3 percent from the floor in the second half.
Lakeland will return home to host Silver Lake on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
