Renon headlines Muskies in dual loss to No. 19-ranked UW-Stevens Point

Junior Ryan Renon earned a technical fall to lead the Lakeland College wrestling team in a 40-8 dual loss to the No. 19-ranked University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Tuesday night at Pulaski High School in Pulaski, Wis.

Senior Robby Frias (Oak Lawn, Ill.) earned Lakeland's second victory of the night at the 149-pound weight class in an 8-1 decision over Ben Thome.
 

Renon (Wrightstown), who is ranked ninth by d3wrestle.com and 10th by National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Brute-Adidas Individual Ranking, recorded an impressive 17-0 tech fall over Bill Langford at 165.

Sophomore Grant Franson (Lindenhurst, Ill.) fell in a highly-competitive match at 125. Franson suffered a 6-4 decision to Lance Fabry.

The Muskies (0-1) return to the mats on Saturday, Nov. 12 as they host the Muskie Invite at 9:30 a.m. in the Wehr Center Fieldhouse.
