Ryan Renon
Junior Ryan Renon started his 2011-12 season "on the attack."
Renon, who wrestles in the 165-pound weight class, had an impressive opening week of competition as the grappler placed first at the Muskie Invite on Nov. 12 and earned a 17-0 technical fall over Bill Langford of the No.19-ranked University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Nov.8.
The Wrightstown, Wis., native, who is ranked eighth in the nation at 165, tech falled Langford again at the Muskie Invite to advance to the championship match. Renon pinned Jason Bonham of No. 11 North Central College in 4:25 to take the 165 title.
Renon has tallied a 3-0 mark and looks to remain unbeaten this week at the Concordia University Nebraska dual and the Concordia Open.
