The Lakeland College men's volleyball team was relegated to the bronze bracket after finishing their consolation pool 1-1.
The Muskies couldn't get into any rhythm and will look to find some consistency and make a run at the bronze division championship.
Lakeland lost their first match against the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2-1 (19-25, 26-24, 5-15). Sophomore Brett Kaczmarek (Kenosha, Wis.) led the Muskies with 16 kills and senior Andy Cheever (Greenfield, Wis.) tallied a team-high nine digs.
The Muskies salvaged the day with a 2-1 (25-17, 27-29, 15-6) victory over Buffalo University. Kaczmarek continued his stellar tournament with 11 kills, while sophomore Matt Bilinski (Batavia, Ill.) added eight kills.
Lakeland opens the bronze division bracket against the University of Minnesota tomorrow morning, April 7, at 8 a.m.
