Lakeland tries to stay perfect all-time against Rockford

The Lakeland College football squad hosts Rockford College for Homecoming and Sheboygan Community Day Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Taylor Field in a Northern Athletics Conference matchup.

Lakeland is coming in with a 0-4 record including a 0-1 mark in the NAC. The Muskies lost a tough 27-17 decision to Wisconsin Lutheran last week. Rockford is 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference after a 48-10 loss to Concordia Chicago last week.

The Muskies and Regents have met four times prior with Lakeland holding a 4-0 series lead. Last year the Muskies defeated Rockford 32-0 behind three touchdown passes from Dylan Van Straten to Justin Groeneveld, and Lakeland has shut out the Regents three straight years.
