The Lakeland College men's volleyball team got off to a solid start but tailed off in the final two sets and was swept by UW-Oshkosh in three sets Thursday night at Woltzen Gymnasium.

The Titans defeated the Muskies for the third time this season, this time by a score of 26-24, 25-20, 25-10. Lakeland dropped its second match in as many days and is now 8-7 overall and 6-4 in the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference, while Oshkosh continued to roll, improving to 17-1 overall and 7-0 in the WVC.

Lakeland had a bad night hitting with 21 kills to 28 errors in 72 attempts-a -.097 attack percentage. The Muskies had just three kills and 12 errors in the final set, making life easy for the visitors.

Brett Kaczmarek (Jr.-Kenosha, Wis.) had eight kills and Ralph Kokoszka (Jr.-Palos Heights, Ill.) added five kills. Dayton Erickson (So.-Trevor, Wis.) added 17 assists.

The Muskies looked tired one night after a grueling five-set loss to UW-Whitewater. Lakeland fell 17-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 15-13 to the Warhawks, winning the first two sets but unable to close out the match.

Alec Redlich (So.-Wauwatosa, Wis.) posted 19 kills against Whitewater, Erickson had 43 assists and Matt Bilinski (Jr.-Batavia, Ill.) added seven assisted blocks.

The Muskies are back in action this weekend for the Hoosier-Illini Tournament at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., on Saturday.
