Athletics - posted on 11/22/2005
The Lakeland women's basketball team dropped a non-conference match-up against Rockford College Tuesday night, falling to the Regents by a final score of 58-49.
The Muskies played solid in the first half building a 12 point lead (25-13) with 3:34 remaining in the half, but the Regents would go on a 12-0 run to tie the game at halftime, 25-25.
The Muskies could not regain the lead in the second half, as it was all Rockford. The Muskies could only tie up the score once at the 13:43 mark (33-33) off a Brenda Paulson jumper.
Senior Kristi Thill led the Muskies with 13 points and fellow senior Beth Porter chipped in 12 points and three rebounds. Kristina Dorman scored 16 for the Regents win.
The Muskies will next travel to UW-LaCrosse for the La Crosse Tournament on Saturday Nov. 26 and Sunday Nov. 27. Lakeland will next be home on Dec. 7 when they play host to Alverno College. That game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
