Dona Richardson enters her third year as Lakeland College’s head athletic trainer.
She comes to Lakeland from Michigan where she worked part time with 15 varsity high school teams and six junior college teams.
Richardson earned a master’s degree in exercise and sports medicine with an emphasis in athletic training from Western Michigan University in 2009. During graduate school, she worked two years as head athletic trainer at Delton Kellogg High School. She has a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Luther College.
She served internships at Mayo School of Health Science in Rochester, Minn., and at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Ill.
Richardson is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Michigan Athletic Trainers’ Association. She has done research on ACL injuries and nicotine and the effect on anaerobic muscle functions.

Garth Laszinski enters his sixth year as the assistant athletic trainer for Lakeland College. In 2009, Laszinski served as the college's interim head trainer. He will continue work primarily with men's and women's soccer this fall as well as men's basketball in the winter and baseball in the spring.
Laszinski, who has worked primarily with men’s and women’s soccer, men’s basketball and baseball, was responsible for overseeing all budgets, managing supply inventory and purchase orders and check requisitions in addition to his regular tasks as assistant athletic trainer.
Laszinski began at Lakeland in 2006 after working as an athletic trainer graduate assistant at Carthage College in Kenosha. While at Carthage, Laszinski covered practices and events for the school’s 22 athletic programs and coordinated educational athletic training activities.
A Stevens Point, Wis., native, Laszinski received his master’s in education from Carthage in May 2006. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in May 2004, earning his bachelor’s in athletic training with minors in social science in health and sociology.
Laszinski currently resides in Sheboygan.

Sara Blindauer is in her first year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in the Lakeland College Sports Medicine department.
Blindauer comes to Lakeland from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where she completed her degree in athletic training, strength & conditioning in May 2012. She is fully certified as an ATC and will assist with the Lakeland women’s volleyball, women’s tennis, wrestling and softball teams.
While at UW-Oshkosh, Blindauer assisted with the school’s football, women’s volleyball and track & field teams as a student. She also served as trainer for the Lawrence University baseball and softball teams in the spring of 2012, and also assisted at Oshkosh North and Kimberly high schools in her time as a student.
Blindauer is a native of Sheboygan and a graduate of Sheboygan South High School.
