The Lakeland Coaching Staff is excited to be hosting the 2012 Summer Muskie Volleyball camps. We are looking forward to teaching your athlete the skills necessary to compete in volleyball in a fun and educational manner.
The camp philosophy is to provide solid fundamental volleyball skills in a relaxed atmosphere. We will cover all phases of the game and allow the necessary repetition time to see improvement in every skill. The skills camp will also include various competitive drills to incorporate skills that have been learned.
Each camper will receive instruction from the Lakeland College coaching staff in all fundamental skill sets of volleyball. Campers will be challenged in an environment that will help them develop their abilities and confidence as players. In addition, each camper will receive a t-shirt.
Camp Information
Individual Skills Camp
(Grades 4-12)
Aug. 3-5
The Lakeland College Volleyball Camp is designed to strengthen the fundamental skills of volleyball for all positions and levels of players. The skills camp is designed to provide players with an opportunity to develop necessary skills through quality instruction from Lakeland College's coaching staff and current players. Campers will also receive specialized instruction including skills for defensive players/liberos, setters, and hitters.
Commuter Check In
Friday, August 3 drop-off 2-3 p.m,, pick up 9 p.m.
Saturday, August 4 drop-off 9 a.m., pick up 9 p.m.
Sunday, August 5 drop off 9 a.m., check out 11:30 a.m.
Overnight Check In
Check-in: Friday, August 3rd 2-3 p.m.
Check-out: Sunday, August 5th 11:30 a.m.
Cost
$130 per commuter camper
$185 per overnight camper
Fees are due at the time of application unless other arrangements have been made. A 75% refund will be given for any cancellation up to two weeks prior to the start of camp. Please send in registration before July 20.
Varsity Team Camp
(Grades 9-12):
August 6-8
The Lakeland College Volleyball Team Camp is designed to help high school teams get a head start on the season. Each team will have a Lakeland Camp coach who will work with them on team strategies and competition against other teams. The camp coach will work closely with their team and focus on areas of improvement specific to that team. The camp will focus on many team defense and team offense drills, and will also include competitive team drills.
The last day of camp will be designated for a tournament. Teams will have the opportunity to play against other schools from around the area and demonstrate the skills they have learned. Parents and coaches are welcome to attend!

Tuesday, August 7 drop-off 9 a.m., pick up 9 p.m.
Wednesday, August 8 drop off at 8 a.m., check out Noon
Overnight Check In

Check-out: Wednesday, August 8th at Noon
Cost
$125 per commuter camper
$175 per overnight camper
