Lakeland University's mentorship program, allows alumni to share advice and experience while providing current students with an invaluable opportunity that will aid them on their pathway to success. The goal of the program is to foster meaningful and productive relationships to further develop an affinity for our institution.
Each semester, our students' cooperative education needs and background vary, so we are creating a "pool" of alumni that are willing to be called upon when an appropriate pairing can be made for a semester. If you are interested, please fill out the application below! The information provided in the application is intended to help Lakeland University staff make the best matches possible.

Lakeland University's mentorship program allows alumni to share advice and experience, while giving students an invaluable opportunity to aid them on their pathway to success. The goal of the program is to foster meaningful and productive relationships to further develop an affinity for the institution.
For one semester, alumni are paired up with a student in the EXP 300 course, which is a course designed to help students process their cooperative education/internship experience and be reflective of the knowledge and skills they are developing during the extensive time with an employer or project. Each of these students are enrolled in the Cooperative education program, and is placed at an organization within their area of interest.
Through this program, alumni and students are encouraged to communicate and meet two times during the semester based on their needs, interests and availability. These conversations may take place over a cup of coffee, during a community or professional networking event or via email, Skype or phone.
