A discussion between the two candidates vying for the 26th Assembly District seat will continue on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. at the theatre in the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, 608 New York Ave., Sheboygan. The evening is co-sponsored by Lakeland College and The Sheboygan Press.
The discussion featuring the incumbent, Republican Mike Endsley, and his challenger, Democrat Mike Helmke, was initially held on Oct. 25, but had to end early when Endsley became ill.
The candidates will pick up on Thursday from where they left off, discussing Wisconsin's Act 10 legislation, followed by a series of questions collected from members of the audience who attended the Oct. 25 event.
The evening is moderated by Rick Dodgson, Lakeland assistant professor of history.
The event is free and open to the public. The Sheboygan Press will live stream the event on its website, www.sheboyganpress.com.
