Bemis Professor of Accounting
Abe Qastin joined the Lakeland faculty in 1985 after teaching at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis., for two years and serving as an adjunct professor at Lakeland for three.
Qastin earned his Master of Science Business Administration (MSBA) with an emphasis in cost accounting and marketing in 1966 from the University of Minnesota and graduated with a bachelor's of science in commerce and economics in 1962 from the University of Baghdad in Iraq.
Qastin, a Bemis Endowed Chair since 1990, was recognized by former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson for outstanding service to the community and junior achievement.
