Alternative Credit Project™ formally ended March 31, 2018
The Alternative Credit Project™ (ACP) initiative officially ended March 31, 2018. This was a national program sponsored by the American Council on Education, supported by a generous grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Lakeland University will still accept these courses in transfer and evaluated by ACE – American Council of Education as identified in the listings below as long as the course number, content and learning outcomes remain the same. If these do not remain intact they will be removed.
Students were able to access courses offered by educational agencies such as Pearson, Straighterline, Saylor and Ed4Online through the Alternate Credit Project website. These course opportunities are still available via the individual organization web site where you may find details on course content and pricing. Students pursuing courses not found on the drop down lists below, should follow the prior approval for transfer course process to ensure the course sought will be accepting in transfer.
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
- Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
- Master of Arts in Counseling (M.A.C.)
- Master in Education (M.Ed.)
Lakeland University Admission Overview
We would love to have you join our community. Applying for admission as a transfer student is relatively easy–there's detailed information within the Admissions section of this site. If you attended Lakeland University before, you may have a shorter path to readmission. Check out readmission details for former Lakeland students.
We admit transfer students in both fall and spring semesters. Most students will need to complete an application and supply transcripts for all prior college-level work.
IMPORTANT: You may request your ACP transcript directly from the American Council on Education (ACE).
