The IRA Charitable Rollover

As of December 18, 2015 the President signed legislation making IRA Charitable Rollover permanent. This means persons aged 70½ may transfer of up to $100,000 per year to qualified charities. This included Lakeland University. Contact your IRA Plan Administrator and request the form to transfer money from your IRA tax-free directly from your IRA to the University, without having to include it in your adjusted gross income. An IRA charitable rollover can be used to fulfill all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD).

Since this law is now permanent, please consider making an annual IRA Rollover gift to Lakeland University. These gifts can now be made at any time throughout the year.

If questions about the IRA Charitable Rollover, please contact Stuart Merritt, director of major and planned gifts, at 920-565-1023 ext. 2153 or at
