Housing Contract Terms and Conditions
Residency Requirement: Lakeland University requires all full-time students under the age of 21 regardless of class ranking must live on campus. The only exceptions will be: (a) if the student is living with a parent or guardian; (b) if the student is married; (c) if the student is a former member of the armed forces; or (d) if the student is a single parent with a child. All students who live on campus are required to select a meal plan.
If planning to move off campus after a housing contract has been signed, students may be responsible for paying the remaining semester residential costs for that semester. If planning to move off campus after a housing contract has been signed, but before the fall semester begins, this form must be turned in and approved by July 1 of that year.
As a convenience to commuter students, Lakeland offers a modified meal plan for commuters. If you are interested in purchasing the plan, please mark the selection.
Commuter Meal Plan Features:
FLEX MEALSMeal plan includes 15 “flexible meals.”Guest meals - use a flex meal to bring a guest to a dining services meal.Meal exchange - use a flex meal to purchase a “value meal” in the Muskie Mart if dining services is closed.Regular hours of operation are (Monday-Friday, 1:30 p.m.- 4 p.m. and 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday andSunday 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.)
MUSKIE MONEY$270 in Muskie Money is included with this meal plan. Money can be used in the Muskie Mart, ThePub, Daily Grind (coffee bar) and dining services line.
Dining Services – Meals are served in Bossard Hall on the second floor of the Younger Family Campus Center. Students, staff, faculty and guests may use a Lakeland University/ identification/meal card or cash. A buffet-style setting, including a number of main entrees, desserts, fruits, beverages, salad bar and deli sandwich bar allows everyone to have all they care to eat.
Grab and Go – If you’re in a hurry, you can stop at the Grab and Go, which is open for lunch during the week, and pick upa quick meal to take with you. It features fresh subs, sushi, chef-style salads and microwave pizzas. The Muskie Mart is a convenience store located in Bossard Hall, where you can pick up a quick snack or shop for dinner.
The Mart is also a place where you can purchase bathroom and kitchen supplies.
The Muskie Grill is a short-order kitchen within the Muskie Mart where you can choose from numerous hot snacks such as fries, mozzarella sticks and breaded mushrooms, sandwiches including burgers, chicken pitas and phillys, salads and fruits.
Daily Grind is the on-campus espresso bar in the student lounge of the Younger Family Campus Center. A great place to begin your day, you’ll find gourmet coffees served hot, iced and frozen, or you can choose from awide assortment of teas, chai tea, steamers and hot chocolate. If you are not a coffee or tea lover, try one of the many different smoothies made to order. The Daily Grind offers desserts and breakfast items such as cookies, bagels and fruit.
The Pub is a casual gathering spot where you can hang out with friends and enjoy diverse evening activities. The Pub offers free popcorn along with limited food and beverage items available for purchase.
*Meal Plan is based on a 15-week semester.
*Designed Single Rooms and Single/Double rooms are very limited and availability is based on priority points earned.
Flex Meals may be used for treating a guest to a meal in Dining Services or at the Muskie Mart/Grill during posted hours.

The Muskie Mart/Grill is a convenience store along with a short-order grill.
The Pub is a casual gathering spot with free popcorn along with limited food and beverage items available for purchase.
The Lakeland University Housing Contract and this Housing Application are binding for the entire academic year. Students who move off-campus during any part of the academic year and are still enrolled may be charged for this contract for the academic year.
Checking the box below indicates you agree to abide by the rules stated in this Lakeland University Housing Contract and those listed in the Student Handbook. The Student Handbook can be found at my.Lakeland. Any exception to the agreement must be approved in writing by the Director of Residence Life. Lakeland University does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, age, religion, national origin, veteran status, gender identity, disability, handicap, marital/parental status or sexual orientation.
This form will be sent to the department of Residence Life and must be signed by student upon arrival to campus. If student is under the age of 18, it must be signed by parent or guardian.
