Most students come to Lakeland with a strong work ethic they have developed at home and through work in high school. Lakeland’s Cooperative Education program will build upon that base as we make an investment in each student and help them prepare for life after graduation.

Lakeland is a close-knit community – we know students by their goals and dreams rather than their ID number. Thanks to co-op, we can connect students to great learning and networking opportunities. We have proven pathways to success and we can keep students on track.

Our innovative cooperative education model allows Lakeland students to gain 12-18 months of professional work experience with renowned companies, along with the ability to earn up to $100,000 to minimize post-graduate student debt.

Lakeland graduates who complete the co-op program will be well positioned for management-level jobs and they will possess the following skills which are highly sought by employers*:
