Disquiet in Middle America
Big Business, Washington, and the Assault on the Middle Class
Dr. Alan Mock, Professor of Sociology at Lakeland College

Do you wonder why it seems harder than ever to maintain a middle class lifestyle? Do you feel the American Promise - that anyone can achieve the American Dream through hard work and playing by the rules - now seems more hope than promise? Dr. Alan Mock discussed these questions and more on Sept. 24, 2015 at the for Lakeland College's ThinkHaus lecture at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Mock explored how Big Business, Congress and the White House wage war on the middle class. The engaging and dynamic discussion of how we can secure a vibrant and enduring middle class had a lot of people talking.
