Beth Borgen, a member of Lakeland College's staff for more than a decade, has been named the college's vice president for advancement, President Dan Eck announced.
Borgen joined the college in October, 2005, as assistant director of alumni relations, and has worked in a variety of progressively larger roles. She will provide leadership and direction for a team that includes fundraising, alumni and church relations, event planning and management, marketing, communications and external relations.
Borgen has extensive experience in all facets of Lakeland's fundraising efforts and outreach programs, and she has introduced a number of new, successful programs.
She had been interim vice president for advancement since June, after serving as associate vice president for advancement since July, 2013. Previous roles at Lakeland include director of major gifts, director of the annual fund, director of corporate and foundation relations and director of alumni relations.
Prior to coming to Lakeland, Borgen was event manager at St. Norbert College for four years. She received a bachelor's degree in communication, media and theater from St. Norbert, and received a master of business administration from Lakeland.
