Associate Professor of Exercise Science
William Ebben is an associate professor of exercise science. He has a Ph.D. in Exercise Science from Marquette University, a Master of Science in Exercise Science from Northern Michigan University, and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin.
Prior to joining Lakeland College, Ebben held faculty positions at Marquette, UW-Parkside, and Northern Michigan. Additionally, he has worked in Olympic, NFL and major college strength and conditioning positions; as a sport psychology consultant; and as a psychotherapist.
Ebben has published and presented more than 200 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts on a variety of topics including strength and conditioning, biomechanics, exercise physiology, injury prevention and sport and exercise psychology. He has supervised over 100 undergraduate research students, including those who have won international and national research awards.
