Associate Professor of Art and Gallery Director
William Weidner, who joined the faculty in 1989, is an award-winning painter whose repertoire includes oils, acrylics, pastels and most recently, sculpture.
Additionally, Weidner records and performs his own original music. Weidner earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing in 1982 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He previously earned his bachelor's degree in painting in 1978 from Washington University's School of Art in St. Louis, Mo.
While teaching at Lakeland, Weidner has also taught at the renowned John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wis., Northern Michigan University and Silver Lake College (Manitowoc, Wis.). He has won numerous awards and been featured in dozens of exhibitions. Weidner is the director of the Bradley Art Gallery.
