Kalmar offers students advice on graduate school at Lunch & Learn

Jessica Kalmar, Lakeland’s assistant professor of psychology, presented at the latest Lunch & Learn session, giving students great advice on applying for graduate school.

Her advice ranged from how to ask people for letters of recommendation to how to negotiate the sometimes arduous graduate school application process.

Kalmar holds a Ph.D. in psychology with a neuropsychology specialization from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York and a master’s in psychology from Queens College, City University of New York.

Lakeland’s free Lunch & Learn program, offered by the Success & Engagement Office, is a regular, ongoing initiative designed to help students learn ways to thrive in and out of the classroom during their time at LU, and how to get an edge when it comes to finding and landing great careers after graduation.
